Intellectual Property Rights
1. Ownership of Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to GazeSync Eye-Contact Webcam — including but not limited to its hardware design, firmware, embedded algorithms, user interface, visual elements, product name, logo, packaging design, technical documentation, and any related software or mobile applications — are the exclusive property of GazeSync (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) or its licensors.
The GazeSync brand and product are protected by international patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret laws, as well as international treaties.
2. Patents
GazeSync Eye-Contact Webcam implements proprietary eye-contact correction technology and image-processing methods.
One or more features of this product are covered by:
- Pending patent applications in multiple jurisdictions
- Granted patents (list available upon request for licensees)
Any unauthorized manufacture, distribution, or replication of the patented technology constitutes patent infringement.
3. Trademarks
GazeSync™, GazeSync Eye-Contact Webcam™, and the GazeSync logo are registered or pending trademarks of the Company.
You may not use, copy, modify, or display any GazeSync trademark without prior written consent, including but not limited to:
- Product branding or naming
- Domain names or social media handles
- Advertising keywords or meta tags
4. Copyright
The following are copyrighted works owned or licensed by the Company:
- Firmware and embedded software
- PC/Mac driver software and UI layouts
- User manuals, setup guides, and help documentation
- Promotional videos, photos, and website copy
You may download or print documentation for personal, non-commercial use only, provided you do not modify or remove any copyright notices.
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software or firmware
- Extract or reuse any UI component, image, or text without permission
- Distribute modified versions of GazeSync software
5. Trade Secrets
Certain aspects of the GazeSync eye-contact correction algorithm, calibration process, and hardware tuning parameters constitute trade secrets protected under applicable laws.
No license or right to any trade secret is granted by mere purchase or use of the product.
6. Third-Party Intellectual Property
GazeSync may include open-source or third-party components licensed separately.
Such components are used in compliance with their respective licenses (e.g., MIT, Apache, GPL — see `/licenses` in the software package).
Nothing in this document limits your rights under those third-party licenses.
7. Enforcement & Contact
The Company actively enforces its intellectual property rights. Violations may lead to:
- Civil liability (damages, injunctions)
- Criminal penalties (where applicable)
- Termination of product support or warranties
